Birkat HaChamah is the Blessing of the Sun
This opportunity only comes once every 28 years, when the sun returns to the place it was at the time of creation.
It's even rarer for it to coincide with the beginning of Passover. One rabbi (the Ostrovster Admor) indicated that when this occurred before, it preceded the Passover exodus, the miracle of Purim, and will open a new gateway now.
The Springtime sun certainly calls us to liberation from the constraint of winter.
Come celebrate the sanctity and wonder of nature.

The actual moment of the sun's return occurs on Tuesday, April 7 at 6 pm (14 Nisan 5769)
and is traditionally celebrated early Wednesday morning.
We'll celebrate the occasion during our Shabbat morning service, the following Saturday.
"He who sees the sun at its turning point ... should say:
You are the Source of blessing, YHVH, our God, Essence of the cosmos,
Who continually does the work of creation."
