Jewish Spiritual Healing
Fundamentally, Judaism understands healing as a state of wholeness – balance in the body and soul. We’ll explore the teachings and practices of traditional Jewish Healing that bring us into this wholeness.
Illness and ailments are often indications of a deeper dis-ease within the soul, life out of balance. Torah, Talmud, Midrash and Kabbalah point us toward Tikkun haNefesh, repair of the soul. Faith, joy, prayer and meditation – the Torah written in our hearts – can awaken us to hear the deep mystery of the divine healing power within us. Then, we can realign ourselves with the miracle of being an integrated living soul. When body and soul are in balance, the wick of our earth spirit (nefesh) is lit by the breath of divine essence (neshamah) and ignites the oil of our heart-soul (ruach).
All healing is miraculous and is accessible to each of us.
All is preordained and the choice is yours to make. (B.Talmud Avot 3:15)

Yichidut — Individual Healing Sessions
Rachmiel is available for yichidut, individual sessions for spiritual guidance and healing. Anchored in prayerful silence, we step back from the turmoil of day-to-day worries to settle into contemplative awareness. From this center we orient ourselves toward the divine and listen for the presence of the sacred and the inner balance of your soul. As we delve into the sacred mystery of your life, we open the path of deep healing, reconnecting with your wholeness. As appropriate, we may use trance drumming and prayer to bring us into a deep meditative (theta wave) state to reawaken and realign the soul’s energy within the body.
In shamanic terms, we pass through the par’gad (veil of illusion) to communicate with the malachim (divine messengers) to effect tikkun hanefesh (repair of the soul). As guided, we work to restore lost essential energies or remove blockages, fully integrating the wholeness (shleimut) of balanced body-soul connection.
Each session will be twenty minutes.
Individual healing sessions: 1:30-3:30 pm, Classroom #4
"Healing is not the same as curing. Healing does not mean going back to the way things were before, but rather allowing what is now to move us closer to God."
