As we seek forgiveness throughout the High Holidays, we regularly recite the Thirteen Attributes of Compassion (rachamim). We are following a practice taught to Moses when he experienced the divine presence with the revelation of these 13 soul parts. We'll explore these aspects in Moses' and our own experience. The Zohar suggests they make up the thirteen-petalled rose of Knesset Yisrael - the community of those who wrestle with the mystery of sacred life and how to find wholeness.
