Days of Awe - A Matter of Life and Death

The High Holidays bring us to the borders of our mortality - the balance between the Book of Life and the Book of Death. We'll examine how these holy days challenge us to "respond to our soul" (Lev. 23:27) with this encounter and offer the possibility of returning to a renewed life. To inform our discussion, we'll look at what Torah means by life and death. "I have set before you life and death, blessing and curse; that you may choose life ..." (Deut. 30:19)
